R&D Magnetic Field Theory Expert
Job Summary
Advancing nextgeneration magnetic sensing and detection technologies for challenging marine environments. You will work at the intersection of physics electromagnetics signal processing and prototype development contributing to the design modelling and validation of highly sensitive detection systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop magnetic sensing concepts for use in complex marine environments
- Apply electromagnetic theory to model simulate and predict system behaviour
- Design signalprocessing algorithms to enhance detection accuracy and performance
- Build and test prototypes supporting experimental trials and system validation
- Collaborate across disciplines including hardware software and mechanical engineering teams
- Contribute to innovation through research technical advancements and intellectual property development
Qualifications :
Required Skills:
- PhDlevel expertise (or equivalent experience) in Physics Electromagnetics Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
- Strong foundation in magnetic field theory and electromagnetic modelling
- Experience with simulation tools such as MATLAB COMSOL ANSYS or similar platforms
- Background in sensor or detection system development
- Programming capability in Python C/C or MATLAB
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in marine defence or geophysical sensing applications
- Knowledge of lownoise instrumentation and sensor calibration techniques
- Familiarity with embedded systems or realtime data acquisition
- Track record of research output such as publications or patented technologies
