Job Summary
| Unit Role: Army Reserve Light Cavalry Regiment. To prepare suitably trained equipped and motivated officers and soldiers for operations both overseas and in the UK in support of SCOTS DG and regular units as individuals and as contingents. Position Role: TThe Regimental Administrative Officer (RAO) is the principal advisor to the Commanding Officer for Unit personnel administration Service financial matters and compliance & assurance. They lead the career management of all unit AGC(SPS)/GSPS and civilian HR personnel. Responsibilities: 1. Advising the Commanding Officer on and delivery of all personnel administration financial services and staff support matters across all unit locations. Unit lead for the annual G1A. 2. Management and development of all admin staff including FTRS civilians and SPS(R) across all unit locations; includes delivery of STA training for SPS(R) personnel as required. 3. Line manager for FTRS RAWO and D Grade FSA; lead advisor on CS management and recruiting matters. 4. Lead for G1 pers admin preparation of unit SP for deployment and mobilisation. 5. Internal Auditor for all Regimental Non-Public Funds and Imprest Checking Officer. 6. Data Protection Advisor and Senior Information Officer; responsible for the delivery of I-Hub services. 7. Provide oversight and guidance for all G8 related BC submissions to HF; lead for CoE & RSD matters in liaison with G7 team. 8. Lead for facilitating CVO/CNO training as required; oversight of Regimental Standing Orders via regular review. |
