Description: We are hiring for our client a growing civil engineering and groundworks contractor based in Ballycastle on the North Antrim Coast. This Quantity Surveyor / Estimator job is a strong opportunity for an experienced commercial professional to join a successful subcontractor delivering works across groundworks bulk excavations earthworks crushing and screening demolition haulage soil stabilisation and wider site services.
The successful Quantity Surveyor / Estimator will manage civil engineering projects from procurement through to final account.

The Role: As Quantity Surveyor / Estimator (Civil Engineering) you will:
Manage project costs from procurement through to final account
Prepare valuations cost reports and commercial updates
Manage subcontractor accounts and supplier agreements
Assess variations and support accurate cost control
Work closely with operational teams across multiple project locations
Identify commercial risk and support project profitability
Provide clear commercial advice throughout the project lifecycle
The Person:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering
Strong understanding of NEC contracts
Groundworks earthworks or wider civils experience is desirable
Strong analytical communication and negotiation skills
Confident managing subcontractors clients and project teams
Able to manage multiple workstreams and travel across the UK when required
