Job Summary

We are currently seeking a commercially astute and proactive Quantity Surveyor to join the Lindum York minor works team working across a varied portfolio of public sector and private sector up to 2m.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor who enjoys working collaboratively with a wider project team and has the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining commercial control and ensuring projects are delivered successfully from a financial and contractual perspective.

Requirements

QS experience in the construction industry is essential with ability to manage multiple contracts at once

You will ideally also have a relevant Higher Education qualification (HNC Diploma or Degree)

Strong commercial acumen with a clear understanding of cost control profitability risk management and contractual obligations.

The ability to manage multiple projects concurrently prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines.

Work collaboratively with project managers site teams subcontractors suppliers and the wider business to achieve successful project outcomes.

Experience supervising and mentoring trainee/assistant team members would be an significant advantage

You must be IT literate with intermediate level Microsoft Excel and Word skills

Strong organisational skills with a positive can do attitude

A full driving licence is essential
