About the Role

We are seeking a Quality Technician to support quality assurance activities within our high-mix engineered-to-order manufacturing environment in our Campsie site. This role is responsible for ensuring products and processes meet customer regulatory and company quality requirements throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.

Working closely with Production Engineering and Quality teams you will perform inspections identify and contain quality issues maintain traceability and support continuous improvement initiatives to drive right-first-time performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct first-off in-process and final inspections against engineering drawings wiring schematics bills of materials specifications and approved work instructions.
  • Verify product conformity workmanship standards testing requirements and manufacturing documentation.
  • Identify document and escalate non-conformances in accordance with site quality procedures.
  • Support containment segregation and traceability of non-conforming products and materials.
  • Verify completion and effectiveness of corrective actions and rework activities prior to release.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation to ensure audit readiness.
  • Review product identification status marking and traceability records throughout manufacture.
  • Collaborate with Production and Engineering teams to resolve quality concerns and improve process performance.
  • Support quality investigations by providing defect data observations and factual evidence.
  • Participate in quality audits process verification activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote high standards of safety housekeeping workmanship and compliance across the manufacturing environment.
  • Escalate any issues that may impact safety quality compliance or customer satisfaction.

Essential Skills Qualifications/Experience:

  • Experience in a Quality Technician Manufacturing Quality Quality Control or similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Experience performing product inspections against engineering drawings specifications and workmanship standards.
  • Experience managing non-conforming products and supporting containment activities.
  • Ability to maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

Desirable Skills Qualifications/Experience:

  • Experience within switchgear panel build electrical manufacturing electro-mechanical assembly or engineered product environments.
  • Exposure to low- or medium-voltage electrical products.
  • Experience supporting audits quality gates or layered process verification activities.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing 5S and continuous improvement principles.
  • Data analysis and reporting experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings wiring schematics bills of materials and work instructions.
  • Understanding of inspection methods quality control techniques product traceability and non-conformance management.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management principles.
  • Ability to use inspection and measuring equipment accurately.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and quality reporting systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
