Job Summary
Croydon CR0 29000 Permanent Night Shift Immediate Start
We are looking for a Quality Controller / Quality Inspector to join an established fresh produce business in Croydon.
This is a hands-on Quality Control (QC) / Quality Assurance (QA) role responsible for checking incoming fruit and finished products maintaining quality standards and helping to reduce waste and customer complaints.
Inspect incoming fresh produce and fruit for quality condition ripeness and specification.
Carry out quality checks on packed and finished products.
Monitor stock rotation grading waste levels and product quality.
Identify record and report quality issues including unsuitable or rejected stock.
Work closely with Production Managers and Line Leaders to resolve quality issues.
Check crates pallets and packed products against required standards.
Help identify training needs within the Production team.
Support market purchasing and drive a company van when required.
We are looking for previous experience in Quality Control Quality Assurance Quality Inspection Product Inspection Food Quality or a similar role.
Experience within fresh produce food production FMCG manufacturing warehousing or distribution would be advantageous. Full product-specific training will be provided.
You will need to have:
Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
Good communication and numerical skills.
The confidence to identify and challenge quality issues.
A practical organised and methodical approach.
The ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Reliability and the ability to work permanent night shifts.
A full UK driving licence and forklift experience would be advantageous.
Sunday to Wednesday 22:0008:00 (4 day week)
40 hours per week
29000 per annum
