Quality Control (QC) Driver


Position Type: Full-time Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (08:00 - 17:30 & No weekends)
Salary: up to35000
Job Purpose
The Quality Control (QC) Driver plays a vital role in our dealerships preparation and handover process. You will be responsible for conducting final thorough inspections of used and serviced vehicles to guarantee they meet our exacting brand standards before being presented to customers. This role blends a sharp eye for detail with professional vehicle handling ensuring our showroom and delivery bays showcase only top-tier vehicles.
Ideally you will have worked within the trade; maybe you have been a Vehicle Technician and you just love driving....
Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI): Perform final interior and exterior quality audits on all sales and service vehicles before customer handover.
  • Driving Check: Drive some Vehicles up to 100miles (over a few days) to check repair / warranty works have been fixed
  • Dealership Standards Check: Verify that valeting paintwork wheel refurbishment and minor repairs meet the dealerships premium presentation benchmarks.
  • Vehicle Shunting & Movement: Safely manoeuvre park and transport vehicles across the dealership site compound and local preparation centres.
  • Defect Reporting: Identify and document any missed cosmetic flaws remaining warning lights low fluids or mechanical anomalies.
  • Inter-Department Liaison: Collaborate directly with Sales Handover Specialists Valeting Teams and Workshop Technicians to quickly resolve any flagged quality issues.
  • Technology Utilization: Use dealership software and handheld tablets to log vehicle status updates and sign off on completed quality checks.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
  • Driving Licence: Full clean UK Driving Licence held for a minimum of 2 years (essential for dealership fleet insurance).
  • Dealership or Logistics Awareness: Previous experience working within a car dealership vehicle preparation centre or automotive valeting environment is highly desirable.
  • High Standards: Passion for cars with a perfectionist mindset-able to spot minor blemishes or oversights that others might miss.
  • Professional Manner: Disciplined and respectful approach to handling high-value customer and showroom assets.
  • Reliability: Confident working independently under a strict Monday-to-Friday timeline to keep delivery schedules on track.
