Independent Reviewing Officer (Social Worker Qualified)

Liquid Personnel is partnering with a forward-thinking local authority in Swindon to recruit a Quality Assurance Reviewing Officer (IRO).

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced social work professional to play a key role in safeguarding children driving service improvement and providing independent oversight acrossChild Protection Children in Care and Fostering Reviews. This role is split into IRO & CP Chair and you will get a choice of which role you prefer.

Reporting to the Service Manager you will:

• Chair Child Protection Conferences Children in Care Reviews and Fostering Reviews
• Provide robust challenge and quality assurance to ensure positive outcomes for children
• Promote strengths-based practice and effective multi-agency working
• Ensure childrens voices remain at the heart of planning and decision-making
• Contribute to service development and continuous improvement across Childrens Services

To be considered youll need:

• Social Work England registration
• A minimum of 5 years post-qualified experience within Childrens Social Care
• Recent supervisory or management experience
• Experience chairing complex meetings and managing professional challenge
• Significant experience in Child Protection and Children in Care services
• Expert knowledge of relevant legislation safeguarding frameworks and statutory guidance
• A passion for quality assurance and achieving the best outcomes for children
