Are you an experienced QA Technician looking for a hands-on quality role within a busy food and drink manufacturing environment
This is a temporary 3-month opportunity to join an established manufacturer in West Yorkshire supporting the Technical team to maintain high standards across quality food safety and compliance.
Working Monday to Friday 8am-4pm with some flexibility youll be based on the factory floor carrying out quality checks supporting audits and working closely with Production to ensure products consistently meet the required standards.
What youll be doing
As QA Technician youll support the Technical Manager and wider production team with the day-to-day quality requirements across a fast-paced manufacturing site.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out quality checks and inspections throughout production
- Checking finished products against agreed specifications
- Identifying and reporting deviations and non-conformances
- Completing factory inspections and supporting internal audits
- Supporting BRCGS customer and wider food safety standards
- Maintaining accurate Quality Management System documentation
- Working closely with Production and Technical teams to resolve quality issues
- Supporting investigations into quality concerns and non-conformances
- Assisting with corrective and preventative actions
- Supporting preparation for customer and external audits
- Ensuring quality and food safety records are completed accurately
- Escalating any food safety hygiene or quality concerns when required
What were looking for
This position would suit someone with previous experience as a QA Technician QC Technician Quality Controller or within a similar manufacturing quality position.
Youll ideally have:
- Previous QA QC or Quality Technician experience
- Experience within food or drink manufacturing would be highly beneficial
- A good understanding of food safety hygiene and quality standards
- Knowledge of BRCGS or similar food manufacturing standards would be advantageous
- Experience carrying out factory inspections or quality checks
- Confidence identifying and raising non-conformances
- Strong attention to detail
- Accurate record keeping and quality documentation skills
- The confidence to challenge Production where standards are not being met
- A practical approach and willingness to work hands-on within the factory environment
- The ability to get up to speed quickly and work reliably within an established team
Pay hours and contract:
Youll receive 14.00 - 16.00 per hour depending on experience.
This is initially a temporary 3-month position working:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00am - 4:00pm
- Some flexibility around working hours may be available
Youll be joining an established manufacturing environment producing high-volume products for major UK retailers giving you the opportunity to gain further experience across quality systems food safety standards and fast-paced production.
