Job Overview

Food Lion is seeking a Perishable Frozen Food and Dairy Associate to join our team. This role is essential to delivering quality customer service and maintaining high standards of freshness cleanliness and safety across our Perishable Department.

What Youll Do

• Provide friendly fast and accurate customer service
• Receive stock rotate and display perishable products including frozen and dairy items
• Maintain proper inventory levels and reduce shrink through best practices
• Follow food safety sanitation and workplace safety guidelines
• Use company systems and tools for inventory and ordering
• Assist with meat processing wrapping labeling and case stocking as needed
• Maintain a clean organized and well-stocked department
• Comply with company policies and local state and federal regulations
• Wear company-issued uniform and maintain a professional appearance

What Were Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to learn new tasks and follow detailed procedures
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced retail environment
• Ability to meet physical demands of the role including lifting standing and working in hot/cold conditions
• Must meet minimum age requirements for assigned job duties

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 15 lbs. continuously 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally
• Push or pull up to 75 lbs. on occasion
• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Perform repetitive hand motions and frequent reaching
• Work in extreme temperatures for short periods
• Handle cleaning supplies packaging materials and food products safely
