About the team:

The Human Performance team are looking for a Psychology or Human Factors/Ergonomics graduate to join them. As part of the team you will contribute to a broad range of research and consultancy projects for defence and security. These projects willlikely spanseveral areas including human factors engineering usability human cognitioncommandand control cyber and behaviour change.

What will I be doing

  • You couldbe responsible for:

  • Supporting the development of military equipment and vehicles to meet the needs of the end-user

  • Cutting edgeresearch into understanding and influencing human behaviour

  • Assessing cyber vulnerabilities of important systems

  • Conducting trials and experiments

  • Supporting the protection of critical national infrastructure

  • Contributing to some of most challenginghigh profilescience and technology programmes in the UK

  • JoiningQinetiQyou would:

  • Work in multidisciplinary teams delivering projects in defence and security

  • Determinethe best way for our customers to exploit novel and emerging technologies

  • Be part of a two-year graduate programme allowing you to develop your technicalexpertisewhilst getting the opportunity to experience a wider range of experience as well

  • Get access to training to develop your technical and leadership skills

  • Get the opportunity to support community projects for example acting as a STEM ambassador to local schools

You will be working in multidisciplinary projects teams using your skills to review literature design and run experiments design data collection activitieswritereports support trials and present findings to customers.

Academic requirements:

You will need to have obtained or are about to obtain a minimum of aBachelorsdegree with a key focus on any of the disciplines listed below:

  • Psychology (or a related field)

  • Ergonomics

  • Human Factors

Additional skills and experience:

It would be desirable (but not necessary) that you have skills qualifications (including degree modules) or experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Anthropology

  • Coding

  • Behavioural Analytics

  • Cognitive Psychology

  • Cyber Psychology

  • Experiment Design

  • Human Factors / Human Factors Integration

  • Neuroscience

  • Occupational/Organisational Psychology

  • Management Science

  • Sociology

  • Statistics

  • Usability / UX

Additionally you should be willing to learn and havedemonstratedan aptitude for learning at pace.
