Ryan a leading global tax services and software provider is looking for enthusiastic and motivated interns to join our Property Tax team in either London or Manchester for an exciting 810 week summer internship.

This is a fantastic opportunity for students considering a career in commercial property surveying valuation or real estate. Youll gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced Business Rates Surveyors contributing to real client projects and developing practical skills that will support your future career.

You wont be sitting on the sidelines. From day one youll be involved in property inspections research data analysis and client-focused projects with the support of a dedicated mentor and comprehensive training programme.

Locations: London or Manchester
Duration: 810 Weeks (Summer Internship)
Start Date: 22nd June 2026

What Youll Be Doing:

During your internship youll gain exposure to a variety of activities including:

• Assisting with the inspection and measurement of commercial properties

• Supporting the preparation of floor plans and property records

• Conducting property and market research

• Assisting surveyors with the collection and analysis of valuation evidence

• Supporting the preparation of business rates assessment appeals

• Helping to formulate appeals and review supporting documentation

• Maintaining accurate records and updating internal databases

• Communicating with clients and colleagues both verbally and in writing

• Supporting the delivery of excellent client service

• Working collaboratively with the wider Property Tax team on live projects

What Youll Learn

Throughout the internship youll receive structured training and mentoring in:

• Property referencing and measurement

• Commercial property valuation principles

• Business rates legislation and appeals processes

• Property data analysis and research techniques

• Professional client communication

• Surveying and property tax consultancy practices

Who Were Looking For:

Were keen to hear from students who have an interest in Property Tax and are eager to learn. Previous industry experience is not required.

Essential Requirements

• Currently studying towards a university degree in Real Estate Property Surveying or a related discipline

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• High level of attention to detail

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships

• Commercial awareness and an interest in the property sector
