Introduction

Are you a confident property surveyor with strong technical judgement and the ability to diagnose building defects Do you have experience preparing clear specifications managing repairs through to completion and working with contractors to deliver quality outcomes We are looking for someone with excellent written communication strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach to supporting residents and resolving complex property issues

Whats the role

You will deliver high-quality property surveying services across the Councils housing stock carrying out inspections diagnosing building defects and specifying effective repairs. Working with residents colleagues and contractors you will help ensure works are completed safely to the right standard and within required timescales. You will also support complex cases including damp mould disrepair and structural issues helping to provide a compliant and customer-focused repairs service.

What were looking for

Were looking for someone with sound technical surveying knowledge a practical approach to problem solving and the confidence to make clear evidence-based recommendations. You will be organised accurate and able to manage competing priorities while working well with residents contractors and colleagues. Strong communication skills good judgement and a commitment to delivering safe high-quality repairs are essential.

Location

The job is primarily based in Laurence House 1 Catford Road London SE6 4RU but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.

Special conditions

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Building Surveying or a related field.
• HNC/HND in Building Surveying or equivalent experience.
• The job is subject to an enhanced DBS check

Salary

52 269 - 54360 per annum (P04)

N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale) which is subject to evidential proof.
