Project, Programme, Portfolio Manager – Digital Transformation (Financial Services)

Our Delivery Team is PAs Centre of Excellence for all project programme and portfolio capability. The team has a great reputation for realising high value outcomes for our clients by supporting and leading delivery across the most critical projects programmes and portfolios. Developing meaningful and long-standing partnerships with our clients the team also has an extensive track record of providing crucial advisory services and building delivery capability and delivery excellence for client teams at all levels.

Our growing team covers the full spectrum of delivery expertise. Our experience ranges from supporting highly complex business transformations to delivering infrastructure and engineering projects through to providing deep technical expertise on IT and technology driven change. We are able to provide deep sector insight and bring fresh perspectives to delivery challenges.

Some example of our exciting assignments include: 

• Leading a Tier 1 UK bank through a major digital and agile transformation programme
• Delivering cloud and platform modernisation for a leading financial institution
• Supporting a wealth manager to implement AI-enabled operational improvements
• Transforming digital customer journeys and omnichannel experiences for a major insurer
• Leading payments and core technology modernisation programmes across banking and market infrastructure clients

Qualifications :

We are looking for candidates with the potential to become future leaders within the firm. Our Delivery team goes far beyond traditional programme management. We are seeking individuals who combine outstanding delivery capability with deep expertise in digital and technology-enabled transformation within Financial Services.

The strongest candidates will bring experience of helping financial institutions modernise their businesses through digital data and technology-enabled change whilst maintaining a relentless focus on business outcomes customer value and transformation delivery.

We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in one or more of:

• Digital Transformation and Operating Model Change
• Data and AI Transformation
• Digital Customer Experience and Customer Journeys
• Cloud Migration and Cloud-Native Transformation
• Payments Modernisation and Financial Market Infrastructure
• Core Platform and Legacy Technology Modernisation
• Digital Products and Channels
• Agile at Scale and Product Operating Models
• Wealth Asset Management Banking or Insurance Digital Transformation

We would expect you to demonstrate experience in at least three of the following:

• Leading large-scale digital transformation programmes from strategy through to implementation and value realisation
• Delivering complex technology-enabled change across banking insurance wealth management or financial market infrastructure organisations
• Leading digital product platform or customer experience transformation initiatives
• Delivering data analytics AI or automation programmes that drive measurable business outcomes
• Managing complex technology delivery involving cloud applications infrastructure or platform modernisation
• Establishing agile delivery models product organisations or scaled agile ways of working
• Leading multi-disciplinary teams including business technology data and architecture stakeholders
• Translating business strategy into executable transformation roadmaps and delivery plans
• Delivering transformation in highly regulated environments whilst balancing innovation and risk
• Building client capability through PMOs Transformation Offices and delivery excellence functions

General skills and experience:

• Strong programme portfolio or project delivery expertise
• Ability to engage credibly with business and technology executives
• Experience delivering measurable benefits and business outcomes
• Outstanding stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous fast-changing environments
• Commercial awareness and consulting experience
• Passion for innovation technology and helping clients solve complex challenges
