Job Summary

We are working closely with a local authority in Waltham Forestto assist with the appointment of aProject Officer on a 3-months contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Summary:

The Project Officer Renters Rights Act plays a key role in supporting the implementation and delivery of the Councils Renters Rights Act programme.The role involves researching legislative developments analysing data preparing reports engaging with internal and external stakeholders managing complex enquiries and supporting the successful delivery of projects that improve housing services and ensure compliance with the Renters Rights Act and associated housing legislation.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation and delivery of projects relating to the Renters Rights Act across Housing Services.
  • Assist Project Directors and Managers in planning coordinating and monitoring project activities to ensure delivery within agreed timescales budgets and quality standards.
  • Collect analyse interpret and present project data producing reports briefing papers and recommendations for senior management.
  • Support the development implementation and review of project plans service improvements policies and operational procedures.
  • Support consultation engagement communication and awareness activities relating to the Renters Rights Act.

Qualifications:

  • Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent qualification or significant relevant experience.
  • Relevant qualification or professional development in Housing Project Management Public Administration Business Administration or a related discipline or equivalent practical experience.

Essentials:

  • Experience supporting projects within a large or complex organisation.
  • Experience working with or applying the Renters Rights Act and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
  • Good understanding of the Renters Rights Act Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and relevant housing legislation.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and project delivery methodologies.
