Project Manager Healthcare
Job Summary
Bring your project management expertise to Rambolls UK Healthcare team and help deliver sustainable healthcare building projects across the UK and internationally. Youll manage daytoday delivery of Rambolls engineering advisory and design services on hospital newbuilds refurbishments and decarbonisation interventions ensuring projects run to programme budget and quality.
This role suits a handson project manager with strong communication skills and practical experience of healthcare building design and construction. You will be the primary client contact on your projects coordinating multidisciplinary teams and driving effective project controls from feasibility through to handover.
Your new role
As Project Manager Healthcare you will deliver daytoday project management and client liaison for a portfolio of hospital and healthcare projects across the UK and internationally. Youll coordinate multidisciplinary design teams maintain strong project controls and ensure timely highquality delivery from feasibility through to handover.
We offer flexible working arrangements with candidates able to work from any of our primary offices as well as home. We have an exciting range of ongoing projects including Hillerød Hospital Denmark Cambridge Childrens Hospital Kettering General Hospital and KEMH Falklands Islands.
Key responsibilities
- Manage delivery of engineering advisory and design services across all project stages (feasibility handover).
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and specialist subconsultants (architects QS MEP structural public health etc.).
- Maintain project controls: scope programmes contracts change control risk registers budgets and QA procedures; ensure these are used by inhouse teams and subconsultants.
- Arrange and lead design coordination meetings and technical reviews; prepare minutes monthly reports and programme updates.
- Ensure internal governance and client contractual requirements are followed.
- Take daytoday responsibility for project activities including reporting programme management and client presentations.
- Support discipline leads with resource allocation and task coordination to achieve programme milestones.
- Ensure coordinated compliant and highquality deliverables from project teams and subconsultants.
- Represent Ramboll to clients contractors and stakeholders and help raise the profile of the UK Healthcare team.
- Support bid teams and contribute to multidisciplinary proposals and tender responses.

About you
- Demonstrable experience managing multidisciplinary UK healthcare projects (new build or refurbishment) and coordinating design/construction teams.
- HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
- MAPM qualification or working towards membership of an appropriate professional body.
- Confident with digital design delivery (Revit/BIM 360) and comfortable coordinating BIM processes.
- Strong project management skills including programme control change control risk management and commercial process management.
- Able to analyse financial information and produce clear highquality reports.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear actions for teams and clients.
- Selfstarter who can work autonomously and manage stakeholders across geographic boundaries.
- Clientcentric approach and a collaborative mindset.
