Job Summary

Malaria Consortium is recruiting for a Project Manager on a permanent full time basis to join our Digital Data and Technology (DDaT) team to be based in London UK.

Role Purpose:

The DDaT Project Manager will lead the successful delivery of strategic digital data and technology projects across Malaria Consortium. Reporting to the Head of Digital Data and Technology the postholder will normally be prioritising one major project while moving between different organisational priorities over time.

The postholder will manage assigned projects from initiation to closure ensuring clear scope effective governance robust planning strong stakeholder engagement disciplined delivery supplier management and successful transition into business-as-usual. Projects will typically involve cross-functional working across global regional and country teams and may include external implementation partners software suppliers contractors and consultants.

In addition to delivering individual projects the postholder will support the Digital Data and Technology function to establish and strengthen project management methodology governance arrangements reporting standards delivery tools and project controls

The post holder is required to have:

  • Strong project management experience including managing from initiation to closure.
  • Experience managing systems implementation or business transformation projects.
  • Experience developing and maintaining project plans budgets RAID logs status reports and governance documentation.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience coordinating project resources in a matrix management environment.
  • Experience managing suppliers vendors implementation partners consultants or contractors.
  • Experience supporting or establishing project governance delivery controls templates or project management methodology.
  • Experience managing risks issues dependencies and change control.
  • Experience supporting business readiness user adoption training planning or transition to business-as-usual.
  • Experience producing high-quality written reports project documentation decision papers and presentations.
  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • Project management qualification or equivalent experience such as PRINCE2 APM PMP AgilePM PMD Pro or similar.
  • Strong project planning coordination and delivery skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise competing demands across multiple functions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex information identify trends risks and issues and make practical recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical system or data issues to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix management environment.
  • Ability to lead and motivate project teams without relying solely on formal authority.
  • Ability to manage suppliers and hold partners accountable for delivery.
  • High attention to detail especially in planning documentation reporting and quality assurance.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Word Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proactive adaptable and solutions-oriented approach.
