Project Management Professional (Rail Infrastructure)

Are you an experienced project management professional looking to help deliver major Rail infrastructure projects

We are seeking talented Assistant Project Managers Project Managers and Senior Project Managers to join our growing rail team. Working across a diverse portfolio of current and upcoming rail infrastructure and asset protection projects you will support or lead the safe and successful development and delivery of rail infrastructure and externally funded schemes.

This is an opportunity to contribute to challenging rail programmes and projects working alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe responsible and sustainable outcomes.

Whether you are building your career as an Assistant Project Manager or already leading complex programmes at Senior Project Manager level we will match the opportunity and level of responsibility to your skills and experience.

Depending on your experience you will support or lead multidisciplinary teams delivering projects across the operational railway. Your responsibilities may include:

• Managing project scope delivery plans milestones dependencies and project controls
• Supporting or leading rail infrastructure asset protection and third-party schemes
• Coordinating interfaces between clients contractors operators asset owners and technical disciplines
• Managing project risks issues change governance and assurance requirements
• Monitoring programme cost quality safety and overall project performance
• Working within rail project lifecycles and governance processes including PACE or equivalent
• Supporting commercial management contract administration procurement and budget control
• Communicating clear project updates recommendations and decisions to stakeholders
• Leading project teams and mentoring colleagues at the more senior levels

The roles provide the opportunity to work across multidisciplinary projects where safety railway interfaces stakeholder relationships and successful delivery are critical.

Previous rail industry experience is essential for every appointment level.

You will bring:

• Experience supporting or delivering projects within the rail industry
• An understanding of the operational railway and railway infrastructure
• Knowledge of project management principles including scope schedule cost risk quality governance and change
• Strong organisational communication and stakeholder management skills
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of budgets contracts and project controls
• The ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate project information
• A collaborative safety-focused and solutions-led approach

Experience involving asset protection third-party schemes possessions and isolations sponsorship PACE signalling digital railway timetable interfaces or infrastructure assurance would be particularly valuable.

Knowledge of areas such as CDM Regulations CSM-RA Network Change access agreements or rail safety assurance would also be advantageous.
