Lets Talk about the Role

The Project Controller will provide the insights and recommendations necessary to influence project execution and maximize value for both our customers and our business.

You will act as the guardian of project financial health ensuring the right rigor is applied to cost management scheduling and risk processes. By partnering with project managers and budget holders you will help keep large-scale complex infrastructure projects on track within budget and aligned with our financial objectives.

How You Will Make a Difference

• Maintainingproject budgets ensuring they are accurately aligned with sales positions and reflect actual progress and market trends.
• Validatingthe accuracy of cost estimates including labor materials and supplier invoices to drive financial clarity.
• Developingmitigation and recovery plans in collaboration with functional leaders to address budget deviations.
• Communicatingclear financial status risks and forecasts to stakeholders to support proactive decision-making.
• Collaboratingwith finance and planning teams to reconcile financial data and ensure cost and schedule alignment.
• Improvingproject performance by identifying root causes of cost movements and supporting the analysis of claims.

Skills for Success

You should be a detail-oriented cost control professional who enjoys influencing project outcomes in a technical environment with:

• The ability to manage and analyze complex project costs for large-scale infrastructure work.
• The capability to communicate financial data clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• An understanding of risk management processes and how to build effective mitigation plans.
• An expertise in financial reconciliation and cost-to-complete forecasting.
• A keen interest in the operational and financial success of grid infrastructure projects.

A formal education in an engineering or finance-related subject is nice to have but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements in project or cost control.

This is a permanent position based in ourStaffordoffice.

We have a hybrid working model which gives you flexibility to work from our offices and from home.
