Location: UK
Working Arrangement: Remote with International Travel
Purpose of Role
This role is accountable for driving day-to-day delivery execution across the S/4 Transformation Programme ensuring that multiple workstreams execute in a coordinated outcome-driven and time-bound manner.
Operating within the overall direction governance framework and integrated plan set by the Programme Director this role requires a hands-on delivery leader who can drive execution at scale unblock complex issues rapidly andmaintainmomentum across a large multi-workstream transformation.
The role focuses on ensuring delivery happensembedding strong execution disciplinemaintainingclear ownership within workstreams and driving progress against agreed milestones and outcomes.
Objectives & Measurement -KeyResponsibilities
Programme Delivery & Execution
Driveday-to-day execution across all workstreams ensuring alignment to programme milestones
Ensuredelivery milestones are met within agreed scope time and quality parameters
Intervene in underperforming workstreams andlead corrective and recovery actions
Ensureclarity of deliverables ownership and accountability at workstream level
Leadership of Workstream Delivery
Lead and coordinate1020 workstream leads ensuring alignment and delivery focus
Establish scalable mechanisms totrack performance and enforce accountability
Build ahigh-performance delivery culturefocused on pace ownership and outcomes
Provideday-to-day leadership and oversight of delivery teams including PMO delivery support
Integrated Planning & DependencyManagement
Drive execution in line with theintegrated programme plan defined by the Programme Director
Identify manage and resolvecross-workstream dependencies and sequencing challenges
Ensure workstreams arealigned across business technology and third-party delivery teams
Escalate critical dependency risks withclear recommendations and resolution options
Decisioning& Issue Resolution
Driverapid resolution of delivery issues and blockers within workstreams
Remove barriers to delivery andmaintainprogramme momentum
Escalate critical risks and issues to the Programme Director providingclear action-oriented recommendations
Programme Performance & Recovery
Trackdelivery performance across workstreams against agreed milestones and KPIs
Identifyemerging risks to delivery andtake proactive mitigation actions
Leadworkstream-level recovery planning and executionwhen delivery deviates from plan
Stakeholder & Executive Engagement
Drive alignment and engagement acrossworkstream leads and delivery teams
Support executive decision-making by providingclear data-driven delivery insights and recommendations
Ensureconsistent transparent communication of delivery progress and risks
Third Party& Supplier Delivery Oversight
Manageday-to-day delivery performance of third-party suppliers within workstreams
Hold delivery partners accountable formilestones outputs and quality at execution level
Identifyand escalate vendor performance issues to the Programme Director where
Financial & Delivery Controls
Track and manageworkstream-level budgets forecasts and cost performance
Provideaccuratefinancial inputsinto overall programme cost tracking and governance
Ensure delivery teamsoperatewithin agreedfinancial and resource boundaries
KnowledgeSkills Capability and Experience
Essential
Proventrack record(10 years) ofdriving delivery within large-scale multi-workstream transformation programmes (50m)
Demonstrable experience:
Drivingexecution rather than PMO coordination
Leading10 concurrent workstreams in complex environments
Delivering ERP / S/4 or equivalent enterprise-wide transformation programmes
Strong evidenceof:
Delivering milestones and outcomes under pressure
Leadingrecovery actions within large-scale programmes
Operating effectively inambiguous high-complexity environments
Deepexpertisein:
Execution across integrated programmes
Dependency management and sequencing
Cross-functional and cross-geography delivery alignment
Experience managing:
Third-party delivery at an operational level within multi-vendor environments
Workstream-level financial tracking and forecasting
Leadership Style Required
Operates with adelivery-first mindset prioritising outcomes over process
Comfortable leading at scale without reliance on1:1 managementstructures
Holds teams accountableand drives clarity pace and ownership
Demonstrates resilience inhigh-pressure high-visibility delivery environments
Strong bias foraction problem-solving and removing blockers
Nice to Have (but not defining)
Experience of PMO or governance environments (as a supporting capability)
Familiarity with SAP S/4 and SAP Activatemethodology
Experience inmulti-party (client SI vendor) delivery models
Familiarity with programme delivery tools (e.g. Jira Agile tools)
Relevant certifications (PMP MSP PRINCE2 Agile)
