Production Team Leader (Twilight Shift)

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Production Team Leader to lead our Manufacturing Team on our twilight shift. The twilight shift hours are Mon-Wed 16:00-02:00 Thu 16:00-01:30.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supervisor or team leader who enjoys being on the shop floor developing people improving performance and creating a positive accountable team culture.

As Production Team Leader you will be responsible for the day-to-day performance of your manufacturing area ensuring production targets safety quality and operational standards are consistently achieved. You will lead by example develop team capability and drive continuous improvement while maintaining a strong focus on delivery and results.

What Youll Be Doing

Production & Operational Performance

• Lead daily production activities to ensure delivery targets are achieved.

• Plan and allocate labour and resources to meet customer demand.

• Monitor performance identify issues and take corrective action.

• Lead Tier 1 meetings and provide clear performance updates.

• Maintain accurate production and performance data through operational systems and visual management tools.

People Leadership

• Lead coach and support a production team to achieve high standards.

• Set clear expectations and hold individuals accountable for performance and behaviours.

• Conduct regular 1:1s performance reviews and development discussions.

Training & Workforce Development

• Ensure team members are trained competent and multi-skilled.

• Identify capability gaps and support development plans.

• Build flexibility and resilience within the team through coaching and training.

Safety Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Champion a strong safety-first culture and ensure compliance with quality and manufacturing standards.

• Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement activities that increase efficiency throughput quality and equipment reliability.

• Support Lean 5S and workplace organisation initiatives.

What Were Looking For

Were interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

• Previous experience leading or supervising teams within a manufacturing or production environment.

• Strong people leadership and coaching skills.

• Confidence in managing performance and behavioural expectations.

• A proactive approach to solving problems and driving results.

• Understanding of production planning workflow management and operational KPIs.

• Experience using production reporting tools and participating in tiered management processes.

• Knowledge of Lean Continuous Improvement and 5S principles.

• Strong organisational communication and prioritisation skills.

• A positive accountable and hands-on leadership style.
