Production Line Technical Lead

As a Production Line Technical Lead you possess a deep understanding of the process and machinery assigned to your line. As the technical owner of your production line you will be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability capability and competence are maintained to the highest standards maximising line performance and minimising downtime.

Alongside planning and overseeing preventive maintenance activities you will provide the training coaching and support to our operational teams to ensure the safe efficient and effective operation of our production equipment.

Hours:

40 hours per week Monday to Friday 08:30 17:30. Operational requirements may occasionally require flexibility. Once fully trained and integrated you will participate in an on-call rota.

You must be able to demonstrate:

• Hands-on knowledge of mechanical or electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment preferably within a food and/or FMCG production environment.
• A strong understandingofproduction environments production line process flows andmachinery.
• The ability to proactively plan preventive maintenance in line with manufacturer recommendations and the companys maintenance strategy.
• Training and coaching skills to develop engineers and operational teams in effective machine operation maintenance and fault prevention.
• A commitment to people development supporting the Production Line Manager in identifying skills gaps and development opportunities.
• A continuous improvement mindset using production and equipment performance data to identify trends reduce downtime improve reliability and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• A collaborative approach working alongside key operational and functional stakeholders to optimise line performance whilst remaining compliant with food safety and health and safety requirements.
• The ability to manage maintenance resources to ensure availability whilst maintaining budget control.
• Good computer literacy and experience of using maintenance or production systems.

You may be able to demonstrate:

• A Level 3 or equivalent qualification in an engineering related subject (Mechanics Electrics etc.)
