About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivatedProduction Line Leaderto join a fast-paced food production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work leading a small team and ensuring high standards of quality safety and efficiency.

You will work closely with the Production Supervisor and take responsibility for the smooth running of daily production activities across multiple production areas depending on operational demand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality products consistently to specification
  • Operate and monitor production equipment safely and efficiently
  • Prepare weigh and verify ingredients accurately prior to production
  • Follow recipes SOPs and production schedules
  • Ensure machinery is correctly set up and fully operational before each shift
  • Verify all ingredients packaging and labels are correct and available before production starts
  • Brief organise and position staff effectively at the start of each shift
  • Maintain strict hygiene cleanliness and food safety standards throughout production
  • Carry out labelling packing and palletising of finished goods
  • Complete production logs records and quality documentation accurately
  • Conduct regular in-line quality checks (weight appearance texture packaging accuracy)
  • Identify and escalate any deviations from specifications promptly and support corrective actions
  • Guide and support production operatives to maintain consistent quality standards
  • Assist with changeovers and cleaning between production runs
  • Follow all health and safety procedures at all times

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience in food production or manufacturing environment
  • Experience working to SOPs and quality control standards
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Proven ability to lead or supervise a small team
  • Ability to work quickly while maintaining high quality standards
  • Comfortable working in both hot and cold production areas
  • Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene certificate (preferred)
