The Home business is looking for a Product Owner based out of London or Milton Keynes.

Join our Digital & Direct Customer team and help shape the future of one of the most important financial journeys our customers make.

The Homes Digital team is responsible for creating and continually improving digital experiences across the home and mortgage lifecycle including mortgage sales mortgage servicing contract variations and home management.

As Product Owner for our digital mortgage application journey youll take ownership of a core proposition and play a key role in defining what comes next. Our ambition is not simply to keep pace with the market but to continue to lead it using customer insight technology and innovation to make applying for a mortgage simpler faster and more intuitive.

This is an opportunity to own a strategically important customer journey end to end. Youll combine product thinking customer experience and commercial judgement with excellent delivery leadership working across Santander to turn ideas and customer needs into experiences used by thousands of customers.

Were shaping the way we workthrough innovation cutting-edge technology collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role you will be responsible for:

  • Owning the vision roadmap and ongoing development of Santanders digital mortgage application journey balancing customer business and strategic priorities.

  • Leading the end-to-end delivery of new features and improvements from identifying opportunities and defining the customer problem through to launch measurement and continuous optimisation.

  • Using customer insight data market trends and competitor understanding to identify opportunities to improve the journey and maintain our market-leading position.

  • Designing simple intuitive and inclusive customer journeys thinking beyond individual screens or features to consider the complete end-to-end mortgage and home-buying experience.

  • Building managing and prioritising the product backlog and roadmap making clear prioritisation decisions based on customer value business benefit risk effort and strategic alignment.

  • Working closely with Technology UX Data Mortgage Product Operations Risk Compliance and other teams to turn customer and business needs into high-quality digital experiences.

  • Developing compelling business cases and recommendations for investment clearly articulating customer outcomes commercial benefits costs risks and measures of success.

  • Bringing new ideas and challenging existing ways of working identifying opportunities to use emerging technology automation and innovation to create better outcomes for our customers and the business.

Professional Experience

  • Experience working in digital product management product ownership or a closely related role with responsibility for delivering and improving customer-facing digital products or journeys. (Required)

  • Experience taking customer or business problems from discovery through to delivery launch and continuous improvement. (Required)

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including Technology and UX/Design to deliver digital products in an Agile environment. (Required)

  • Experience prioritising competing requirements and making evidence-based product decisions across complex customer and stakeholder needs. (Required)

  • Experience influencing and working with senior stakeholders across multiple business areas. (Required)

  • Experience within financial services mortgages home buying or another regulated industry. (Preferred)

Education

  • Relevant professional experience or a degree/equivalent qualification demonstrating the skills required to succeed in a digital product role. (Required)

  • Product management Agile UX design thinking or related professional qualifications. (Preferred)

Languages

  • English (Required)

Hard Skills

  • Excellent product management and product ownership capability including product vision roadmap development backlog management feature definition and prioritisation. (Required)

  • Excellent understanding of customer journey design UX principles and customer-centred product development. (Required)

  • Ability to use customer insight analytics and other evidence to identify problems develop opportunities and make informed product decisions. (Required)

  • Ability to translate complex customer and business requirements into clear product requirements user stories and outcomes for delivery teams. (Required)

  • Great commercial and analytical capability including the ability to develop business cases assess benefits and support investment decisions. (Required)

  • Understanding of Agile product development and experience working effectively with multidisciplinary delivery teams. (Required)

  • Understanding of digital mortgage journeys mortgage products or the wider home-buying journey. (Preferred)

  • Experience using experimentation prototyping or product discovery techniques to validate opportunities before committing to full-scale delivery. (Preferred)

Salary Range:


52459.00 - 78689.00 per annum (depending on experience)

This salary range represents the expected remuneration for the role. Annual salary is based on a standard 35-hour working week. Actual salary offered will depend on skills experience qualifications and location.
