Job Summary

Were looking for an engineer who is curious collaborative and motivated by making a real impact. This is a greenfield opportunity within a global organisation where youll join a growing and supportive team helping shape how our technology is used in the UK market.

In this role youll become a local technical expert for TOMRAs Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) working closely with customers technicians system users and colleagues across Europe. Youll play a key part in ensuring our solutions perform at their bestwhile contributing knowledge ideas and improvements as the organisation continues to grow.

Youll also act as an important link between TOMRA Collection UK and our global teams working closely with colleagues at our Norway head office and R&D hub to share insights support developments and help local teams succeed.

What youll be doing

As our Product Expert Engineer youll play a key role in helping TOMRAs technology perform at its best. Working closely with colleagues across Service Product and Operations youll combine technical expertise with data-driven insights to improve machine performance and support our growing customer base. 

  • Act as a technical specialist for our Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) and supporting systems 
  • Analyse machine and operational data to identify trends solve problems and drive performance improvements 
  • Partner with internal teams to provide technical guidance product expertise and configuration support 
  • Lead the resolution of complex technical challenges collaborating with colleagues across functions and regions 
  • Deliver engaging training and knowledge-sharing sessions that help technicians and service teams succeed 
  • Support new machine installations and help ensure a smooth transition from deployment to operation

Youll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Analytical mindset with skills interpreting data and ability to identifying opportunities for improvement 
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with both technical and non-technical colleagues 
  • Experience contributing to product system or process improvements through collaboration and continuous improvement 
  • A degree in Mechanical Electrical Mechatronics Engineering (or similar) or equivalent practical experience 

Helpful but not essential: 

  • Experience in manufacturing automation technical support or related environments 
  • An interest in sustainability and technology that creates positive impact
