We build the benchmarking forecasting and valuation tools that the worlds most serious energy investors developers and operators depend on to make decisions. If a battery gets financed built or traded anywhere in the world theres a good chance Modo data was in the room.

Founded in 2019 were 80 people across London New York Sydney and Madrid; $30M Series B AI-native and moving fast.

The Role

Were looking for a Product Designer to join our London team. This is primarily a product design role; youll spend most of your time on UI and craft for our Terminal platform with a generalist skillset that also flexes into marketing and brand design when needed.

We move fast and have strong product opinions - what we need is someone who can bring those to life beautifully and over time help us raise the bar on craft and design thinking across the company.

Youll sit within the Product Operations team as an early designer hire with direct cross-functional touch points across product marketing and engineering. This is an entry to mid-level role with real room to grow; Modo is still early and the design function is being built which means your work will have outsized impact from day one.

What youll work on

• Terminal platform UI - feature design and new workflows
• Visual assets including illustrations charts and components
• Marketing assets and brand design - landing pages the Modo website events conference stands social

What were looking for

• A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional visual taste - clean layout typography composition and modern interface design
• Strong Figma skills
• Primarily product-focused with a generalist skillset and some time spent on marketing / brand design
• Fast autonomous and able to context-switch between different types of work
• A genuine eye for detail and a high personal bar for quality
• Enthusiasm for learning about energy and the world of BESS solar and wind no prior knowledge needed

Nice to have

• Experience designing data-rich interfaces or dashboards
• Motion design or micro-interaction experience
