The Product Delivery Management team works closely with engineering product and data groups to build empowered autonomous and multi-disciplinary teams delivering the right product in the right way as quickly and efficiently as possible.

As a Product Delivery Manager you will play a vital role in enabling and amplifying product vision and strategy translating direction into action by building delivery structures fostering alignment and supporting cross-functional coordination. You will work closely with engineering and product leadership to create clarity surface risks and dependencies and drive the execution of business-critical work.

In this role you will be aligned to a specific product or platform space within Bloombergs engineering organization. These may include:
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Enterprise Products
  • Enterprise Data Tools & Platforms
  • Terminal Products
  • Internal Applications & Bloomberg Web Arts and Media
  • Platform and Technical Infrastructure

Youll partner with Product Managers Engineers and Data Partners to support the delivery of tools and services that underpin both internal workflows and customer-facing products. Our engineering teams are responsible for building scalable reliable software infrastructure and experiences that serve a wide range of users from internal teams to global clients.

Were seeking experienced strategic execution leaders who bring a structured strategic lens to complex environments people who are energized by building partnerships creating alignment and driving outcomes.

This position is a hybrid role with 3 days per week in our London office.

We will trust you to:
  • Guide and advise leadership in communicating and amplifying product vision goals and strategic themes
  • Understand evaluate and govern value streams
  • Partner with Engineering and Product to help develop and track product roadmaps
  • Manage complex cross-functional initiatives throughout the product development lifecycle from inception through launch
  • Set the right expectations with stakeholders see around corners anticipate and mitigate risks
  • Excel in managing initiatives but also keep an eye on the big picture and not be afraid to upend existing systems and processes if need be
  • Assess adapt and introspect right-fit delivery framework (methodologies tools and techniques) most appropriate to help the team achieve their goal as efficiently as possible
  • Improve teams performance by helping them to continuously reflect and improve encouraging team cohesiveness through leadership and mentoring to facilitate successful delivery
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment requiring good judgment and flexibility

You will need to have:
  • Hands on experience or equivalent expertise in product delivery or a relevant domain area
  • Previous experience working with lean approaches and agile development practices
  • Direct work experience in large scale program management capacity including all aspects of process development and execution experience with client journeys and demonstrated ability to synthesize process data
  • Proven understanding of the product life cycle
  • Experience working and leading in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team within an interactive process
  • Foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure architecture
  • Foundational knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and software development methodologies
  • High motivated self-directed individual with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Results-oriented attitude and ability to follow through on tasks in a timely and responsible manner
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources including upper management clients and other departments
  • Excellent analytical problem solving decision making interpersonal and communication skills
  • BA BS MS PhD in Computer Science Electrical Engineering or related technology field

Wed love to see:
  • An understanding in the finance and data domain
  • An understanding of large scale software or system infrastructure
  • Certified Scrum Master or Certified Scrum Professional (CSM or CSP)
  • Experience in leading or being part of Agile transformation in an organization that previously followed traditional/waterfall software development processes
  • Experience using JIRA for planning and tracking
  • PMP SAFe Certification
