Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day requirements of a varied Private Client portfolio comprising clients with a range of income sources including employment investment and business income.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Work with ownermanaged businesses partnerships and highnetworth individuals.
- Manage a range of Capital Gains Tax matters across the portfolio.
- Assist with and deliver ad hoc private client advisory work.
- Support the delivery of one-off compliance assignments.
- Attend client meetings and contribute to discussions on tax matters.
- Propose fees raise client bills and regularly monitor WIP and recoverability.
- Liaise with colleagues across the wider firm including audit and accounts teams to support client needs.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- ATT and/or CTA qualified (or actively studying towards CTA).
- Previous experience managing a personal tax portfolio.
- Strong knowledge of SelfAssessment and tax computations.
- Experience advising on EIS VCT and SEIS investment reliefs.
- Knowledge of UK residence and domicile rules preferred.
- Comfortable researching tax legislation and HMRC guidance.
- Confident communicator with a proactive clientfocused approach.
