Private Client Tax Director
Job Summary
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex UK and US cross-border tax advisory services for HNWIs and ultra-HNWIs.
- Advise clients on US tax compliance including FBAR Form 8938 Form 3520 and Form 3520-A as well as UK tax implications of US residency and domicile.
- Develop and implement strategic tax planning solutions for estate gift and inheritance tax with a focus on minimizing exposure while ensuring compliance.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on international tax structuring including trusts foundations and offshore entities.
- Collaborate with legal wealth management and compliance teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Mentor and develop a team of senior tax professionals fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Drive business development initiatives including client acquisition relationship management and thought leadership.
- Ensure adherence to professional standards regulatory requirements and firm governance policies.
- Represent the firm at industry events conferences and client forums to enhance visibility and credibility.
- Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) qualification with full membership in the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT).
- In-depth knowledge of US federal income tax estate and gift tax and international tax compliance (including FATCA CRS and OECD BEPS initiatives).
- Proven experience advising private clients and HNWIs on UK-US cross-border tax matters.
- Demonstrable track record in developing and executing complex tax planning strategies for international clients.
- Strong understanding of UK inheritance tax capital gains tax and trust taxation in a cross-border context.
- Exceptional client management and communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly to non-experts.
- Experience leading teams or managing client portfolios of significant value.

Required Skills:
Extensive progressive experience in personal tax with a focus on private client advisory and tax planning. Professional qualification such as CTA (Chartered Tax Adviser) or equivalent with a strong track record of technical -depth expertise in UK personal taxation including income tax CGT IHT and associated reliefs exemptions and reporting requirements. Proven experience advising high net worth individuals and families on complex tax structures trusts and estate planning. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify complex tax concepts for non-specialist clients. Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience including managing and developing junior team members. Strong organisational and time management skills capable of balancing multiple high-priority client engagements. Proficiency in tax software (e.g. CaseWare TaxCalc) and advanced Excel skills.
