What Youll Do At Elekta:

As a Principal Software Engineer you will provide technical leadership for shared software components and services used across Elektas product portfolio. Working closely with architects engineering leaders and product teams youll define technical direction guide architectural decisions and ensure solutions are secure scalable and maintainable.

Youll help drive engineering best practices contribute to safety and cybersecurity initiatives and support the development of high-quality software that meets the needs of customers worldwide.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design development and maintenance of shared software components and services using C#/.NET for cloud and on-premises deployments.
• Define APIs integration contracts and component boundaries ensuring interoperability and backward compatibility across products.
• Guide architectural and technical decisions balancing performance scalability security reliability and maintainability.
• Drive software quality through code reviews automated testing CI/CD practices and engineering standards.
• Lead troubleshooting root cause analysis and resolution of complex product integration and customer issues.
• Contribute to safety cybersecurity and risk management activities including vulnerability remediation and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with architects product teams and engineering leaders to manage technical priorities dependencies and delivery plans.
• Mentor engineers and help elevate technical expertise engineering practices and software quality across the organisation.

What Youll Bring:

• Extensive software engineering experience with a strong background in C# .NET / Core and distributed systems.
• Experience designing reusable services versioned APIs microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Strong experience with Docker Kubernetes Helm cloud-native technologies and modern deployment practices.
• Knowledge of CI/CD automated testing and development tools such as Azure DevOps Jenkins or equivalent.
• Experience leading technical initiatives influencing architecture decisions and mentoring engineers.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance technical quality delivery priorities and risk.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working within healthcare medical technology or other regulated environments.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL GitOps infrastructure automation and scripting.
• Experience contributing to secure software development observability and cybersecurity practices.
