The role
As a Principal Nuclear Waste Consultant youll combine technical expertise consultancy leadership business development and project delivery to support key defence and civil nuclear customers.
Day-to-day youll be required to:
- Leading strategic and technical consultancy projects across spent fuels management nuclear materials management and waste management programmes.
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships to identify opportunities understand priorities and support long-term growth.
- Managing business development activities including opportunity identification pipeline development and business-winning initiatives.
- Preparing and reviewing technical reports proposals presentations and bid documentation to support project delivery and contract awards.
- Mentoring and developing colleagues while providing technical leadership across multidisciplinary project teams.
This role is based in Warrington and is 37 hours per week Monday to Friday. Hybrid working patterns are available. Travel to customer and Cavendish Nuclear sites will be expected typically around once per month.
Essential experience of the Principal Nuclear Waste Consultant Specialising in Spent Fuel & Waste Management:
- Extensive experience delivering and leading technical projects within spent fuels management nuclear materials management or closely related nuclear disciplines.
- Strong experience working with United Kingdom civil or defence nuclear industry clients.
- Proven success operating within a consultancy or client-facing environment including developing scopes of work preparing proposals bidding and tendering activities.
- Demonstrable experience developing client relationships and securing new business opportunities.
- Experience leading technical teams supporting project delivery and mentoring developing professionals.
Qualifications for the Principal Nuclear Waste Consultant Specialising in Spent Fuel & Waste Management:
- Bachelor Honours Degree or equivalent in a Science or Engineering discipline.
Security Clearance
