Primary Learning Support Assistant Chelmsford

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Chelmsford is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their supportive team. This role would be particularly well suited to a Psychology Graduate Education Graduate or related graduate looking to gain valuable hands-on experience working with children in a primary school environment.

About the Role

As a Primary Learning Support Assistant in Chelmsford you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional learning needs
  • Support children with accessing the curriculum and completing classroom activities
  • Assist pupils with developing their confidence independence and engagement with learning
  • Support childrens social emotional and behavioural development throughout the school day
  • Build positive trusting and consistent relationships with pupils
  • Work closely with class teachers the SENCO and wider pastoral team
  • Help create a calm inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote good learning habits
  • Monitor pupils progress and provide feedback to teaching and SEN staff where appropriate
