We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company in Worcestershire for an experienced Press Tool Maker to join their skilled toolroom team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to work within a modern manufacturing environment producing and maintaining high-quality press tooling to support production operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacture assemble repair and maintain press tools to required specifications.
Interpret engineering drawings technical specifications and tooling designs.
Carry out tool modifications and improvements to enhance performance and productivity.
Operate conventional toolroom machinery including milling grinding turning and drilling equipment.
Diagnose tooling issues and implement effective corrective actions.
Support production teams with tooling-related technical expertise.
Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of press tools.
Ensure all work is completed to high standards of quality and accuracy.
Adhere to health and safety procedures and company policies at all times.
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience as a Press Tool Maker Toolmaker or in a similar tooling role.
Strong knowledge of press tool manufacture maintenance and repair.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Skilled in the use of conventional toolroom machinery.
Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Relevant engineering or toolmaking qualifications are desirable.
