Premises Technician

We are looking for a Premises Technician to join our Engineering team and support the safe operation maintenance and upkeep of DLR buildings stations and perimeter infrastructure. Working closely with thePremises Managerand Team Leader you will carry out building maintenance activities support premises documentation assist with the delivery of maintenance strategies and contribute to the continued development of the Premises department.

Please Note: This is a construction trades role excluding the following diciplines: Electrical Mechanical Communications and Signalling Assets.

• Support the safe operation and maintenance of DLR buildings stations and perimeters.
• Assist with the implementation of premises maintenance strategies and processes.
• Help maintain engineering and premises documentation to required standards.
• Support the Premises Manager in ensuring compliance with legal company and safety requirements.
• Promote and contribute to a positive safety culture across the Premises team.
• Undertake planned and reactive building maintenance activities.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues contractors and stakeholders to maintain infrastructure assets.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of the Premises department.
• Adhere to Health & Safety legislation company procedures and the Safety Management System (SMS).
• Assist in maintaining high standards of customer service across the infrastructure function.

• Experience within a building maintenance facilities maintenance construction or engineering environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong commitment to health safety and compliance.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Full willingness to work within a safety-critical environment.
• Team-oriented approach with a strong work ethic and reliable attitude.

• City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in an engineering or construction trade discipline (non-electrical).
• Experience working within a railway environment.
• Knowledge of railway safety procedures.
• Groundworker experience.
• Paving works experience.
• Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities within operational environments.
