Premises Manager

A welcoming Primary School in the London Borough of Croydon is seeking an experienced Premises Manager to oversee the management of its school site on a full-time permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised individual who takes pride in maintaining a safe secure and welcoming environment for pupils staff and visitors. The successful candidate will lead the day-to-day operation of the schools premises while ensuring the buildings and grounds are maintained to the highest possible standard.

Working closely with the Headteacher and School Business Manager you will manage planned preventative maintenance reactive repairs contractor supervision site security and health and safety compliance. You will ensure statutory inspections are completed on schedule and maintain accurate records relating to compliance servicing and maintenance.

Responsibilities include supervising maintenance staff coordinating cleaning operations monitoring premises budgets managing external contractors and ensuring facilities are prepared for assemblies performances parents evenings educational events and community use.

You will also identify opportunities to improve the school environment through preventative maintenance programmes sustainability initiatives and long-term site improvement projects.

The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership skills strong organisational abilities and previous experience within premises or facilities management.

Requirements
  • Previous Premises or Facilities Management experience

  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation

  • Experience managing contractors and maintenance programmes

  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills

  • Good practical maintenance knowledge

  • Budget management experience desirable

  • Commitment to maintaining a safe learning environment
