Job Summary

3 Month Contract With A Local Authority

Job Purpose

To provide strategic leadership and contract management across Southern Housings property and housing management portfolio. The postholder will lead new business opportunities contract mobilisation and strategic relationships with Property Investment Partners Superior Landlords and Managing Agents ensuring strong governance performance compliance customer service and value for money.



Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the mobilisation and transition of new property and housing management contracts.
  • Coordinate due diligence feasibility assessments risk reviews and recommendations for new business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong strategic relationships with Property Investment Partners Superior Landlords and Managing Agents.
  • Ensure contractual obligations performance standards KPIs and reporting requirements are effectively managed.
  • Establish and maintain robust governance contract management quality assurance and financial controls.
  • Coordinate service delivery teams to ensure contractual requirements and service standards are met.
  • Monitor performance through data KPIs audits and management information identifying and addressing areas of underperformance.
  • Oversee contract variations decisions risks Heads of Terms and management agreements ensuring accurate records are maintained.
  • Identify opportunities to improve services processes systems financial returns and value from commercial relationships.
  • Act as the lead relationship between clients and internal service delivery teams challenging performance and escalating issues where required.
  • Prepare and present reports recommendations and performance information to senior management committees and boards.
  • Work collaboratively across Property Compliance Asset Management Home Ownership and Neighbourhoods to deliver excellent services.
  • Support continuous improvement effective change management and excellent customer outcomes.
  • Lead and motivate colleagues and promote Southern Housings HEART values and commitment to Equality Diversity & Inclusion Health & Safety and compliance.


Requirements
  • Degree-level qualification relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant professional body membership or equivalent is desirable.
  • Proven experience in housing residential property or property management.
  • Experience of successfully managing and developing strategic relationships with clients landlords managing agents or external partners.
  • Strong experience of contract management governance quality assurance and risk management.
  • Experience of developing and managing performance frameworks KPIs and management information.
  • Experience of establishing effective systems and processes to maximise contract performance and value.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory and legislative framework applicable to Registered Providers.
  • Strong financial and numerical skills with the ability to demonstrate value for money.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and report-writing skills.
  • Strong negotiation influencing and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to analyse complex issues make sound decisions and take ownership of outcomes.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet challenging deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments regions and with external partners.
  • Self-motivated flexible and able to work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Strong leadership and relationship-building skills with a commitment to excellent customer service.

  • Location: Fleet House 5961 Clerkenwell Road London EC1M 5LA with hybrid working where appropriate and agreed with the manager.
