Policing Lecturer
Job Summary
DN Colleges is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Policing Lecturer to join our Sport & Uniformed Services curriculum area. This is an exciting opportunity to support and inspire learners through high-quality teaching learning and assessment helping them develop the knowledge skills and behaviours needed for progression within policing and related public service sectors.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan prepare and deliver high-quality teaching learning and assessment across policing-related programmes.
- Assess student progress provide timely and constructive feedback and maintain accurate learner records.
- Support student achievement through effective progress monitoring coaching and pastoral support.
- Contribute to curriculum development learning resources and continuous quality improvement activities.
- Promote excellent standards of behaviour safeguarding equality diversity and inclusion.
- Participate in student recruitment activities including open events interviews and community engagement.
- Work collaboratively with curriculum teams to ensure programmes run effectively and efficiently.
- Support learners during enrichment activities educational visits and other college events where appropriate.
- Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge and engage in ongoing professional development.
- Contribute to the wider life of the college and support departmental targets and objectives.
Essential Criteria
- Relevant industry experience within policing public services or a related sector.
- Appropriate teaching qualification substantial industry experience or willingness to work towards a teaching qualification.
- Minimum Level 2 English and Maths qualifications.
- Strong communication organisational and administrative skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding equality diversity and helping all learners achieve their potential.
Benefits for working for DN Colleges
- Salary of 33787 to 42766 per annum.
- Permanent position with 35.5 hours per week.
- 35 days annual leave plus bank holidays and two weeks at Christmas (pro rata where applicable).
