Lanpro and CarneySweeney joined as a Group structure on a vision to become the largest independent planning led multidisciplinary environmental consultant in the UK. Create Consulting was then acquired by Lanpro in February 2026.
The Group isnow looking to optimise its full potential by delivering a clear and comprehensive integration plan via a PMO Integration Manager fully supported by the Group Leadership team
The Group has offices in Norwich London Cambridge Manchester Edinburgh York Bath Glasgow Milton Keynes Birmingham Cardiff Exeter and Chelmsford.
Its multidisciplinary service spans across multiple disciplines. Planning Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Ecology Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Landscape Architecture Architecture & Design Arboriculture Visualisation Historic Environment Acoustics Air Quality Civil Engineering Geo-environmental MEP Building Services Structures Sustainability Transport & Highways Utilities Water & Flood Risk.

The PMO Integration Manager will lead the programme (project/integration) management discipline for mergers acquisitions and post-deal integration. The role ensures that integration activity is structured governed and delivered effectively across functions enabling the organisation to realise deal value protect business continuity and support colleagues through change (both new and existing to the group).
Key role responsibilities will be to:
- Establish and run the Integration Management for Group Mergers and Acquisition transactions including governance cadence reporting and decision-making forums.
- Build and maintain the master integration plan in coordination with the Group CFO CEO CFO ensuring clear ownership milestones dependencies risks issues and benefits.
- Coordinate cross-functional workstreams across areas such as People Finance IT legal operations Business Development/Sales marketing and Health and Safety.
- Drive Day 1 Day 30 Day 100 and longer-term integration planning ensuring readiness across people process systems and communications.
- Track integration delivery against strategic objectives synergy targets budgets and agreed success measures.
- Identify manage and escalate risks issues and interdependencies ensuring timely resolution by senior stakeholders.
- Support due diligence and pre-close planning by identifying integration requirements assumptions constraints and resource needs.
- Prepare executive-level reporting including dashboards steering papers decision logs and progress updates.
- Partner with leaders to support change management colleague communications stakeholder engagement and adoption of new ways of working.
- Capture lessons learned and continuously improve the M&A integration playbook templates and PMO standards.
- Support relationship nurturing for longer-term prospects where transaction readiness may develop over time.
- Ensure all outreach activity is conducted in line with confidentiality (under NDA) data protection compliance and reputational standards.
- Clear credible and controlled integration planning across all active transactions.
- Effective governance that enables fast informed decision-making.
- Transparent reporting on progress risks issues dependencies costs and benefits.
- Strong alignment between deal rationale integration priorities and operational execution. Smooth handover from integration activity into business-as-usual ownership.
Essential Requirements
- Significant experience in programme management PMO leadership transformation integration or complex change delivery.
- Experience supporting mergers acquisitions post-merger integration carve-outs or major organisational change is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of programme governance dependency management risk and issue management benefits tracking and executive reporting.
- Ability to work across multiple functions and senior stakeholders in a fast-paced ambiguous environment.
- Excellent planning prioritisation facilitation and problem-solving skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to connect integration activity to deal value synergy delivery and customer impact.
- Confident communicator with the ability to translate strategy into clear actions for functional teams.
- Proficiency with project and portfolio management tools reporting packs and collaboration platforms.
- Relevant project or programme management qualification such as PRINCE2 MSP Agile PMI or equivalent experience would be advantageous.
