As a PMO Consultant within our Secure Government practice youll support delivery across important projects that contribute to national security and resilience applying your existing PMO experience in a challenging and rewarding client environment.

We are recruiting for multiple PMO Consultant roles across a range of consultant levels. We welcome candidates with transferable skills from project-based environments established PMO generalists and PMO specialists in areas such as planning reporting governance controls finance risk benefits change and assurance. Some roles may include emerging workstream people or technical leadership but these are not senior PMO leadership roles.

As a PMO Consultant within our Delivery Optimisation sub-practice youll work in client-facing delivery environments where structure insight and reliable controls matter. The scope of each role will reflect your experience from supporting PMO activities through to leading defined workstreams or small teams where appropriate.
You may support reporting cycles coordinate governance forums manage risks and issues support planning and scheduling contribute to financial tracking or help improve delivery controls and assurance. Youll be expected to operate professionally with clients and contribute to high-quality consistent delivery.
All our roles are subject to a minimum of 3 days in the office either onsite with our clients or at one of our AtkinsRéalis offices (pro-ratad for part-time employees).
Youll bring relevant PMO project delivery or project coordination experience with the ability to apply practical judgement in structured delivery environments. For developing consultant roles this may include transferable skills such as coordination reporting planning support governance administration document control stakeholder engagement or data management. For more established roles well look for stronger PMO capability specialist depth and where appropriate the ability to lead defined activities or support junior colleagues.
Alongside this youll ideally bring:
- Relevant PMO project delivery or project coordination experience.
- Experience supporting or leading PMO activities such as reporting governance planning controls assurance finance benefits change or risk management.
- Broad PMO generalist capability or deeper specialism in one or more PMO disciplines.
- The ability to work with data and tools such as Excel Power BI MS Project or similar to support effective decision-making.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with project teams stakeholders and clients in a structured and professional way.
- An understanding of PMO frameworks delivery lifecycles and the importance of robust controls in complex environments.
- A proactive and collaborative approach with the judgement and professionalism to operate effectively in a client-facing delivery environment.

Security clearance
This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary it will be discussed with you at interview.
