The basics

Salary: 37729.31 per year

Contract: Permanent

Location: Amplius south region (Milton Keynes and surrounding areas)

Work hours: Monday to Friday (4 days 08.30am - 5pm & 1 day 10am - 6pm)

What youll be doing

• Carrying out a wide range of plumbing repairs including leaks blockages taps valves sanitary fittings and pipework
• Diagnosing faults accurately and completing repairs on a first-time fix basis wherever possible
• Ensuring all work meets health & safety requirements water regulations and internal standards
• Working in customers homes communal areas and empty properties to deliver a responsive service
• Recording job details materials used and outcomes using mobile technology
• Working collaboratively with other trades to complete multi-skilled repairs where needed
• Managing tools equipment and stock responsibly
• Identifying and reporting safeguarding compliance or property concerns
• Taking part in a 24-hour standby rota service when required

What youll need

• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing (or equivalent qualification)
• Experience in domestic plumbing repairs in occupied and/or empty homes
• Good understanding of water systems and how to diagnose faults
• Ability to find and fix issues first time where possible
• Knowledge of water regulations and safe working practices
• Good communication and customer service skills in peoples homes
• Able to work on your own and manage your workload
• Comfortable using a mobile device to record job details
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel
• Able to pass a DBS check and eligible to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
