Rate of Pay: 19.92- 26.28 per hour
Summary:
The Placements Officer plays a key role in supporting the recruitment engagement retention and effective utilisation of Barnet Councils in-house foster carers. The postholder is responsible for strengthening foster carer relationships coordinating engagement activities monitoring placement availability and supporting the identification of suitable foster placements that meet the individual needs of children and young people in care.
Responsibilities:
Support the recruitment engagement and long-term retention of Barnet Councils in-house foster carers.
Coordinate the identification and matching of suitable foster placements ensuring children and young peoples needs are appropriately met
Develop distribute monitor and analyse surveys and feedback to identify opportunities for service improvement and strengthen foster carer retention.
Ensure placements comply with safeguarding requirements fostering regulations and Barnet Council policies.
Produce statistical reports and performance information to support service planning and sufficiency monitoring.
Qualifications:
Educated to A-Level standard NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) or significant relevant experience in Social Care Childrens Services Housing Community Services or a related field.
Good understanding of fostering services placement coordination and childrens social care.
Knowledge of safeguarding principles childrens legislation and relevant statutory guidance.
Essentials:
Experience working within Childrens Services fostering family support social care or a related public sector environment.
Experience organising meetings events support groups or engagement activities.
Experience maintaining accurate records databases and management information.
