A secondary school in Lancashire is looking for an enthusiastic Physics Teacher to join its Science Department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who enjoys challenging students and helping them understand how scientific principles apply to the world around them.

The successful Physics Teacher will teach Science at Key Stage 3 and Physics at Key Stage 4. You will be responsible for delivering well-planned lessons covering areas such as forces energy electricity waves radioactivity and space depending on the curriculum sequence.

The school is looking for someone who can make complex scientific concepts understandable without losing the academic challenge required at GCSE level. You will use demonstrations experiments modelling and problem-solving activities to help students develop a deeper understanding of Physics.

Assessment will form an important part of the role with the successful candidate expected to identify gaps in knowledge and provide targeted support where necessary. You will also work closely with colleagues within the Science Department on curriculum development and student progress.

  • Strong Physics subject knowledge

  • Ability to teach KS3 Science and KS4 Physics

  • GCSE Physics experience

  • Confidence delivering practical investigations

  • Strong classroom management

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Effective lesson planning and assessment

  • Ability to motivate students

Salary

The salary for this Physics Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS depending on experience and qualifications.
