An independent school in Wandsworth is looking to appoint a highly motivated Physics Teacher to join its Science Department. This is a full-time permanent position with an ASAP start.

You will teach Science at KS3 before delivering Physics at GCSE level. The role will involve topics including forces energy electricity waves particles and radioactivity.

Practical work will form an important part of the curriculum with students encouraged to investigate scientific principles and interpret experimental evidence.

The successful Physics Teacher will use questioning demonstrations practical activities and examination-style tasks to develop students understanding. Strong assessment skills will be required to monitor progress and provide targeted support.

The school is an established independent school in Wandsworth with a strong academic focus and a supportive professional environment.

The Science Department encourages students to develop curiosity and confidence through practical investigation and problem-solving. Staff collaborate on curriculum development and share effective teaching approaches.

• Physics Degree

• QTS or recognised teaching qualification

• Secondary Physics teaching experience

• Ability to teach KS3 and KS4

• GCSE Physics experience

• KS5 experience desirable

• Strong practical Science skills

• Excellent classroom management

• Strong subject knowledge

• Effective planning and assessment

• Ability to engage students with challenging concepts
