The successful PE Teacher will be responsible for delivering enjoyable purposeful and challenging practical lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will teach a variety of sporting activities while helping students develop their physical ability teamwork leadership and confidence.

At KS3 you will introduce and develop students skills across a broad range of activities. At KS4 you will have the opportunity to teach GCSE PE supporting students with both the practical and theoretical elements of the course.

The department is keen to appoint someone who can create a positive sporting culture and encourage students of varying abilities to participate. You will also be expected to contribute to extracurricular sport fixtures clubs and school competitions where appropriate.

Physical Education Teacher - Experience and Qualifications

• PE or Sports Degree

• QTS or recognised teaching qualification

• Secondary PE teaching experience

• Ability to teach KS3 and KS4

• GCSE PE experience desirable

• Strong practical knowledge across a range of sports

• Ability to motivate students of different abilities

• Confident behaviour management

• Good lesson planning and assessment skills

• Willingness to support extracurricular sport

• Positive and enthusiastic approach to teaching

Salary

The salary for this Physical Education Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS depending on experience and qualifications.
