Cheltenham Hospital Pharmacy Permanent Part Time
Up to 52000 per annum pro rata depending on skills and experience
22.5 hours per week (worked over 3 days)

As a Pharmacist at our hospitalyoull be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and youll have proven post-qualification experience. Its also important that you have excellent communication and people skills as youll be working closely with our patients and a variety of clinical staff.
The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for optimising medication therapy and promoting safe effective and cost-efficient drug use within the hospital. The role involves direct patient care in collaboration with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to improve treatment outcomes and minimise medication-related problems.
Asa Pharmacistyouwill:
- Join our talented multidisciplinary team
- Be the trusted Medicines Management Lead for our hospital
- Deliver high-quality clinical care and advice where its needed
- Offer services to a range of departments including the pre-assessment clinic outpatient department ward and theatres
- Participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Educate patients on the proper use of prescribed medications
- Conduct medication reconciliation and drug utilization reviews
- Document clinical interventions and outcomes
- Provide drug information and training to healthcare staff and patients
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies national regulations and accreditation standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives audits and medication safety programs
- Report adverse drug reactions and medication errors
Asa Pharmacistyouwill have:
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology pharmacokinetics and disease management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
This role is part time of 22.5 hours per week. Hours are to be worked over 3 full days between 8.30am -4.30pm. We can offer flexibility on which days.

About Cheltenham Hospital
Nuffield Health Cheltenham Hospital is located in the beautiful area of Cheltenham in Gloucestershire. It has excellent transport links nearby being veryclose to theM5 and hospital has 33 ensuite private bedrooms 3 theatresand a small ambulatory unit. It also hosts a purpose built close observation unit 12 consulting rooms with access to treatment roomsdiagnostic services including; plain x-ray MRI CT mammography andultrasound. We provide a full range of medical and surgical specialities delivered in state-of-the-art clinical facilities including orthopaedics cosmetic surgery spinal services sports injury ENT gynaecology urology as well as a rapid access breast clinic.
