Job Summary

TPF Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a well-established and highly regarded firm of Chartered Accountants in Maidenhead with the recruitment of a Personal Tax Assistant Manager.

As a Personal Tax Assistant Manager youll take responsibility for overseeing a varied portfolio of private clients ensuring the delivery of high-quality compliance services whilst assisting with advisory work. Youll work closely with senior members of the tax team and play an active role in developing junior colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients including individuals trusts and partnerships ensuring compliance deadlines are met.
  • Review personal tax returns prepared by junior members of the team providing guidance and technical support where required.
  • Prepare and oversee more complex personal tax returns and computations.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships acting as a key point of contact for tax-related queries.
  • Correspond with HMRC on behalf of clients and assist with resolving enquiries and technical matters.
  • Identify tax planning opportunities and support the delivery of advisory projects.
  • Coach mentor and assist with the development of trainees and junior tax professionals.
  • Collaborate with partners managers and other professional advisers to provide a joined-up service to clients.


Requirements
  • ATT ACA ACCA and/or CTA qualification (or be studying towards one).
  • Previous experience within a personal tax team ideally with some experience supervising or reviewing the work of others.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK personal tax.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to build lasting client relationships.
  • A proactive team-oriented approach with a genuine interest in supporting junior staff.
