Personal Injury Senior Paralegal

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Case Handler in our Claimant Serious and Catastrophic Personal Injury team in Bristol specialising in injuries suffered by motor and vulnerable road users such as cyclists motorcyclists and pedestrians.

Duties will include:

• Managing a mixed caseload of Fast Track & Intermediate cases;
• Conducting litigation on own files;
• Complying fully with agreed service standards;
• Communicating effectively with individuals and insurer clients;
• Training/case planning with trainee case handlers and any supervision duties as directed;
• Attending and participating in weekly meetings;
• Dealing with administration and any other duties as required.

Experience:

The successful candidate needs to have previous experience of running their own caseload dealing with motor and vulnerable road users and previous experience of dealing with a range of polytrauma pain disorders and psychiatric disorders. Experience dealing with moderate brain injuries and fatal injury claims would be advantageous but not essential.

They must also have a proven ability to deal with all aspects of litigation from the issue of proceedings through to trial. You must be computer literate and able to undertake your own typing.

The successful applicant will display excellent communication and organisation skills with an ability to always work in line with deadlines. You should have a common-sense approach to work showing enthusiasm and initiative as a team player with an ability to manage expectations from both internal and external clients.
