Job Summary

We are working closely with local authority in Barnet to assist with the appointment of a Personal Advisor on a 3-months contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 21.08- 27.79 per hour

Summary:

The Personal Advisor (Grade I) is responsible for providing high-quality advice guidance and practical support to care leavers aged 17½ to 25 enabling them to successfully transition into independent adulthood. Holding an allocated caseload the postholder manages complex and high-risk cases develops and reviews Pathway Plans and works collaboratively with young people families carers employers education providers housing services and partner agencies to improve life outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete implement monitor and regularly review Pathway Plans in partnership with young people ensuring plans remain outcome-focused and person-centred.
  • Provide information advice guidance and practical support relating to education employment apprenticeships training housing finance health benefits immigration (where appropriate) and independent living.
  • Develop effective partnerships with statutory voluntary community and private sector organisations to ensure coordinated service delivery.
  • Engage with parents carers foster carers and extended family members where appropriate to strengthen support networks.
  • Prepare reports assessments and documentation for reviews meetings audits and statutory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics.
  • Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care Youth Work Childcare Family Support Community Work or a related discipline or equivalent relevant experience.

Essentials:

  • Significant experience working directly with care leavers aged 1625 within a local authority leaving care service childrens social care youth support or a similar setting.
  • Experience developing implementing and reviewing Pathway Plans for care leavers.
  • Experience working with young people experiencing complex needs including mental health issues homelessness offending behaviour substance misuse or family breakdown.

  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
