Spire Bushey Hospital has an exciting opportunity for Perioperative Practitioner to join the team on a Full time basis.

Spire Bushey Hospital forms part of a 4 site portfolio and is supported by and works alongside Spire Bushey Diagnostic Centre Elstree Cancer Centre and Spire Pathology Centre. Our theatre team cover a wide variety of specialties including Ortho Bariatric General Gyane ENT Urology Plastics Ophthalmics Spinal.

Duties and responsibilities
- To provide exemplary planned care for patients within the perioperative and assist in the management and organisation of care provision in the operating theatre.
- Assess patients health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload.
- Assist in the delivery of care to meet patients health and wellbeing.
- Provide and receive complex sensitive or contentious information.
- Develop own knowledge and skills and that of others.
- Promotes best practice in health and safety and security.
- Assist in maintaining and developing services.
- Contribute to quality improvement.
- Promote peoples equality diversity and rights
- Apply technology for measurement monitoring and treatment.
- Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI.
Who were looking for
- Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
- Experience of working in teams and with minimum supervision
- Previous leadership experience would be an advantage however we offer award winning training and CPD
- HCPC or NMC registration
- At least 2years ortho scrub experience
- You must be passionate and driven and be able to demonstrate your dynamic thinking
- Completed SFA training would be an advantage however we are able to offer this as part of your career progression
Working Hours:Full Time Monday - Saturday no nights. Shifts between 7.30am 8pm.
