A thriving secondary school in Beaconsfield Buckinghamshire is looking to appoint a technically skilled Performing Arts Technician to support its busy performing arts department.
The school has a strong programme of drama music and performance activities and the successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring rehearsals and productions are delivered smoothly.
You will work alongside teaching staff and students preparing performance spaces and operating technical equipment during productions.
Key responsibilities will include:
Setting up stages and performance spaces
Preparing lighting and sound equipment
Supporting rehearsals
Operating technical equipment
Assisting with live performances
Supporting stage changes
Maintaining equipment
Completing technical checks
Reporting faults
Ensuring equipment is stored safely
Supporting school events
Previous experience in theatre events live production stage management or performing arts technology would be highly beneficial.
The successful candidate should be practical organised and comfortable working under pressure during performances and rehearsals.
You should also be confident working alongside young people and able to communicate technical information clearly.
